Families for a Secure Future presents…

A one-day workshop facilitated by David Pitonyak
February 10th
9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This day long workshop is aimed at family members. It will help you as a family to examine ways that you can help your son or daughter or sibling to achieve a sense of confidence, competence, and well-being. It will also help you think about and figure out worthwhile strategies for dealing with your needs as a family. Difficult behaviors result from unmet needs. The day offers a chance to look at seven quality of life indicators that are often missing in the life of a person who is often equated as being the sum of his behaviours and therefore misunderstood. It is based on the idea from Jean Clarke that a person’s needs are best met by people whose needs are met. It will be helpful for families to bring some of the key support workers that can be part of rethinking how to cope with “difficult behaviors.”

Registration Tickets are $25.00 plus an online processing fee of $2.11.  Lunch and refreshments are included.
